All Things Arts & Culture in the D & Beyond
Promote - Perform - Present
About
Anita-Joyce Barnes, founder, and curator for ASalon, a virtual space for artists and an online home for all things arts and culture, is a native Detroiter. Through ASalon, she works with artists to promote their events, provides virtual forums for collaboration and live-stream performances and artist discussions.
Detroit-based musicians, authors, playwrights, and performance artists find a home at ASalon.
Anita began her career as a creative by serving as stage manager and company manager for national off-Broadway theatre companies. Later in her career, she combined her artistic passions with organizational and leadership acumen as an administrator for non-profit and for-profit organizations and programs, corporate product launches, and global corporate events. As a result, ASalon is a dynamic forum that showcases, elevates, and celebrates Detroit artists.
